There is a lot of musical variety on this album, and it is a must for any Hanson fan. It has such a nostalgic vibe to it, where the listeners will be reminiscing about their youths as they listen to Middle of Everywhere. This Greatest Hills collection garners an A rating. Way to go guys! -- Digital Journal

To celebrate 20 years since the release of "Middle of Nowhere", as well as 20 years of making music (25 years if you count the "prefame" years of 1992-1996), Hanson decided to release an album of their greatest hits and call it "Middle of Everywhere." The album includes 26 tracks on 2 CDs, with 1 standout new track called I Was Born. All the fan favorites are here, from MMMBop to This Time Around/If Only to Strong Enough To Break. There are also songs as part of the compilation that were not singles at all but were paramount to the band's 20 year success and independent career, like A Song To Sing, Broken Angel, and Already Home. To add a bit of nostalgia, the band decided to release the album on cassette tape and vinyl.

Standard US release, 26 tracks.

Astute listeners will notice a few tracks that vary from the standard releases. Weird, for example, is not the Middle of Nowhere track, but instead a remix used in the accompanying music video. A Song To Sing is not the This Time Around track, but a live version.
