This Time Around, Hanson's proper follow-up to Middle of Nowhere, was released in Australia and Europe several weeks before the US debut on May 9, 2000. Although not as successful as Nowhere, the album quickly sold 500,000 copies worldwide and had two Top 40 hits, This Time Around and If Only. To date, the album has sold over 1,000,000 copies. Collectible CDs include the Japanese/Australian version that has two bonus tracks not included on the US album, and the ultra-rare and unique European & Chinese versions.

	UK # 314 542 721-2 Release Date: May 1, 2000 Regular UK album, 13 tracks.
	US # 314 542 383-2 Release Date: May 9, 2000 Standard, 13 track US album.
	Japan # PHCW-1080 Release Date: July 11, 2000 15 track album, cover art is the opposite of the US release. The album comes with an OBI-strip and a Japanese lyric booklet. Bonus tracks: 1. Smile 2. Lonely Again
	France # 314 542 566-2 Release Date: 2000 French version of This Time Around with rare sticker on the front.
	EU # 314 542 566-2 Release Date: 2000 Standard European TTA release - same cover art on both sides, but the CD looks just like the American TTA release.
	EU # 314 542 566-2 Release Date: 2000 Very unique album only released throughout Europe, no doubt a (very) limited release. It has the same catalog number & (almost the same) cover art as the above release. Notice that the front cover has a little flower and says "bonus tracks" on it, and the back lists each song with yellow numbers. This CD is unique because it has six different bonus tracks from Middle of Nowhere and 3 Car Garage (see photo at left).
	Russia # 314 542 383-9 Release Date: 2000 Extremely rare This Time Around CD from Russia. Same front and back cover art. Russian writing is on the front and back covers as well as the CD. The track listing is printed in a different font than most releases, and the CD is pink-red in color.
	Argentina # 314 542 383-2 Release Date: 2000 Argentina release. This release has the same cover art & CD art that the UK/Australia has, but the catalog number is idential to the American version. Confusing much?!
	Asia # 314 542 383-2 Release Date: 2000 Interesting CD from Asia - it has the exact same cover on both sides, but notice at the bottom it says, "Made in the EU. NOT for sale in the EU."
	Korea # 314 542 383-2 - DP 8074 Release Date: 2000 Very rare & cool Korean TTA CD. Front & back cover art is the same. Notice the back cover lists track 8 as "I Wish That I Was There." Inside the booklet, there is a short biography about Hanson in Korean, a discography that goes back to Boomerang (!), and short profiles on Isaac, Taylor, and Zac.
	Korea # ? Release Date: 2000 Different Korean release. The cover art is identical on both sides. The CD does not have the familiar brown Hanson logo like other releases - the disc is plain silver with "HANSON" written in a reddish color.
	Philippines # ? Release Date: 2000 Very rare 13 track album from the Philippines that comes with a bonus 2 disc TTMON VCD and a cool Hanson lanyard!!! Everything is housed in a cool cardboard case (as seen in pictures 1 and 2).
	Taiwan # ? Release Date: 2000 Very rare CD released in Taiwan - a unique thing about it is that the back cover has an older 1998 picture. It kind of reminds me of the Chinese release (below), especially since it has that silver sticker typical of Chinese/Asian releases, but I've always heard this CD is from Taiwan, so I'm leaving it at that. If anyone has any more info to add about this release, please e-mail me!
	Taiwan # 314 542 383-2 Release Date: 2000 13 track Taiwan release that has a unique back cover that is different from all over releases. Very cool!!
	Singapore # 314 542 383-2 (?) Release Date: 2000 TTA from Singapore - limited editions came with a Hanson symbol patch (pictured).
	China # 314 542 383-2 Release Date: 2000 Official Chinese release. Gorgeous - unique stickers on the front cover and totally different back cover art and CD art. Notice on the front that the words "This Time Around" are right below the Hanson logo, versus towards the bottom of the cover like most other releases.

	Australia - Promo No Catalog Number Rare Australian This Time Around promo. Plain white CD with track listing listed. One of the only promos to include the bonus tracks "Smile" and "Lonely Again."
	UK - Promo # ? Rare 13 track UK promo, comes in a white cardboard slipcase with the track listing printed on it.
	Germany - Promo # ? 13 track promo album in plastic case.
	Germany - Promo # HANSON Very rare This Time Around media folder that folds out to three pages (front and back) filled with promotional information regarding This Time Around's release in Germany. One page of the media folder has a CD slipcase that holds an "Advanced Snippet CD" for This Time Around. The CD is unusual because it has shortened versions (about a minute) of every song on the This Time Around album. I don't think I've seen a CD quite like this one!
	EU - Promo # HAN1 Rare 13 track EU promo, comes in a different cardboard slipcase this time, typical of what the UK album will eventually look like. "Advance CD" is written on the back cover.
	EU - Promo # HADV1 A different 13 track promo that comes in a plastic case. It is very similiar to the above promo, except for this: "Advance CD" is written on both the front and back covers, and this CD has the promo blurb.
	EU - Promo # No Catalog Number Rare 5 track sampler from Europe featuring five tracks off of This Time Around. Also, notice that If Only is 4:30. (More on this below.) The cover art and CD have Mercury logos, and the CD says "5 tracks on it." Pretty plain. Tracks: 1. Can�t Stop 2. You Never Know 3. Sure About It 4. Runaway Run 5. If Only
	EU - Promo # HANSAMP5 This is the exact same 5 track sampler above, but this one has nice front and back cover art, CD art, and even a booklet. Notice that inside the booklet, the promotional blurb is printed on the right side, and the left side is blank. Wasted space much? A nice shot of Hanson would have looked great on the left! :-P Also, a red Hanson symbol was printed upsidedown underneath the CD tray! The back cover also says that If Only is the US Mix...but wait, it's not. It should be obvious, especially from the previous promo, that If Only is the album version, but "US Mix" threw me for a loop. I listened to this track and it is indeed the regular studio version. So why the US Mix? The US Radio Mix wasn't even thought of when this CD was made/pressed. Did they mean "UK (Radio) Mix" but forgot to put that remix on here? 	US - Promo No Catalog Number Very rare US This Time Around promo CD. This CD comes in a plastic case. It has the track listing on the front, the back, AND on the CD itself! The word "Hanson" and the Island Jef Jam logo are also on the CD and the front and back covers.
	US - Promo # ISLF 15055-2 13-track promo CD house in a black cardboard case.
	US - Promo # ? An early promo of This Time Around that has the picture of Hanson sitting on the grass on the front cover. The back cover has the track listing, and a large Hanson symbol on the back. The CD itself is white, with the track listing printed on it as well. There is a blurb about Hanson on the left hand side.
	US - Promo # 314 542 383-2 Progressing from the previous promo, this TTA promo has complete front and back cover art. "Advance CD" is written on the front and back cover. But Island still isn't satisfied with this look...
	US - Promo # ISLF 15049-2 A fifth US promo for This Time Around! Island decided to flip the covers around, so the headshot is now on the front, and the 'sitting on grass' photo is on the back cover. The CD now has the familiar brown color with the Hanson symbol. Notice that every promo up to this point lists track 8 as "I Wish That I Was There" on the back cover. Hanson must have changed it at the last minute, becuase all the retail albums dropped the "I" and the song is simply called "Wish That I Was There."
	Japan - Promo # PHCW-1080 Japanese This Time Around promo with promo stickers on the OBI strip. The word "SAMPLE" is written around the inner ring of the CD.
	Taiwan - Promo # ? Very rare and unique sampler CD from Taiwan. At first, it looks like the CD just has four tracks, but when you listen to it, the tracks loop four times, so the CD really has 16 tracks! A very interesting thing to do. Tracks: 1. If Only 2. This Time Around 3. Love Song 4. If Only (Paris Club Mix)

Malaysia

This Time Around release, possibly from Malaysia. Identical cover art on the front and back, but the back cover + CD is lacking in any IDJ/Mercury logos, which makes me question its authenticity. CD-2372 is written on the front cover and the CD, and the CD has some interesting bonus tracks, all from the 3 Car Garage album. The final track, "Surely", seems to have been cut off - the full title is "Surely As The Sun."

Probably the most rare and unique This Time Around album, this version from China has completely different album art that goes back to the Middle of Nowhere era. The album has the orignal 13 tracks. A really great collector's item!
