Underneath is Hanson's first full-length album to be released on their own independant record label, 3CG Records. In the US, the album peaked at #1 on the Billboard Independant Charts and #25 on the Billboard Top 200, making it one of the most successful independant releases of all time. The album had many different releases in various countries throughout 2004-2005.

	Japan # VICP-62622 Release Date: March 17, 2004 Underneath was released in Japan in March of 2004. The album contains three bonus tracks: Dream Girl (edited), I Almost Care, and With You In Your Dreams (live). Lulla Belle is at the end of the bonus tracks. The CD is also enhanced with "Where's The Love" live from the House of Blues in Chicago. Very limited editions of this CD also include a sheet of Hanson stickers. Bonus Tracks: 1. Dream Girl 2. 	US #1 # 10401 Release Date: April 20, 2004 Underneath was released in the US on April 20, 2004. The album comes in a cardboard slipcase with orange headphones. There are 13 tracks on the album, including Get Up and Go, which does not appear on the Japanese release. After the last track (Believe), there is a "Crazy Beautiful remix" after a period of silence, and "Lulla Belle", sung by Zac, after that. Strangely, Dream Girl did not appear on US releases, even though the track was featured on the US 5-track promo CD (above). The first US edition came with a special edition DVD which included three video tracks from Underneath Acoustic Live and a video featurette titled Underneath Underneath.
	US #2 # 10402 Release Date: April 20, 2004 The regular edition of Underneath did not come with the bonus DVD. The album comes in a cardboard slipcase with blue headphones. Everything else is the same.
	Taiwan # 10401.2 Release Date: 2004 Taiwanese version of Underneath, comes with a white OBI strip. The OBI strip says CD+DVD, and it has a nice lengthy bio about Hanson on the reverse side, pretty unique. Most OBI Strips don't go into that much detail! This version has the same tracks as the US release, and it comes with a bonus DVD. Notice the catalog numbers for both the CD and the VCD - the CD (blue) has catalog number 10402.2 around the rim of the CD. The VCD has number 10401.2. The back cover also has 10401.2.
	Korea # CPK-3236 (10401.5) Release Date: 2004 The Korean Underneath has the same tracks as the US release, but there is a VCD [with the same content] instead of a DVD. Some CDs came with a coupon for a discount towards a show that Hanson did in Korea to promote the album. This release has a neat black and white disc as opposed to the normal blue and black disc of most other Underneath releases.
	Asia #1 # ? Release Date: 2004 Hanson's comeback was very popular in Asian countries, as you will quickly see below. This version of Underneath was released to commemorate Hanson's popular Volkswagon campaign in China/Asia. "I Will Come To You" was used as background music in several TV commercials, and so a version of Underneath was released with IWC2U, live from the House of Blues, as an extra bonus track.
	China # CD-1686 / 10402.2 Release Date: 2004 After all the above Chinese releases surfaced, this Chinese album was 'officially' released by 3CG Records/Sony Music. The album has an OBI strip, the 3CG Logo on the back cover, etc., making it the most official-looking of the bunch.
	Russia # 10402 Release Date: 2004 Interesting release here - could be from Russia. I am not sure if this is an official release or a bootleg - the 3CG logo & text lead me to believe that it is official.
	Australia # BIGCD005 Release Date: October 18, 2004 The Australian release of Underneath has two live bonus tracks from the Chicago House of Blues. Bonus Tracks: 14. If Only (live) 15. I Will Come To You (live)
	UK - also Italy # COOKCD326 Release Date: February 21, 2005 The UK version of Underneath has the same 13 tracks as the US release, plus the enhanced videos Penny & Me, Underneath, and This Time Around from the Chicago House of Blues. There is no bonus DVD for this version.
	France # COOKCD333 Release Date: February 21, 2005 French Underneath with bonus track "Someone: Laissons nous une chance", sung by Isaac and French singer Emma Daumas. Bonus Track: 14. Someone (Laissons nous une chance)

Promotional CDs

	US - Promo No Catalog Number This five track sampler was released to radio stations in late 2003. Fans scrambled to collect this rare CD, because it was the first taste of studio music since 2000's This Time Around.
	Japan - Promo # VICP-62622 This Japanese Underneath promo comes in a slim jewel case with a white front insert with the blue headphones. The CD itself has 16 tracks written on it (including Lulla Belle). A unique find!!
	US - Promo No Catalog Number This US Promo CD for Underneath has no front cover art, but it does have back cover art, including the track listing, quotes, etc. The CD itself also has a track listing, a blurb that says "In Stores April 20, 2004" and, uniquely, is encrypted with technology so it cannot be played on a computer.
	US - Promo # ? Very rare US Underneath promo - the CD itself actually looks like a record. SO COOL. (Sorry for such poor pictures. Better ones coming soon!)
	Canada - Promo # PTN-196 Very rare Candian promo CD manufactured by True North Records. The CD comes in a red slipcase with a large sticker on one side with the Canadian release date and track listing. Notice that the time for Believe is 12:17.
	UK - Promo # FRYCD218PROMO Like the US, the UK released a five track sampler CD to radio stations, but changed the tracks & order of the songs. The track listing is: Strong Enough To Break, Penny & Me, Undeneath, Lost Without Each Other, and Deeper.
	UK - Promo # ? A second UK sampler CD with only four tracks - no Penny & Me here, which is quite odd, since Penny & Me is the first single being released in the UK.

[picture unavailable]	China #1 # ? Now we're going to have some fun!! Underneath was released in many different formats in China. "Official" Chinese releases are extremely hard to come by, and as a result, bootlegged CDs are common. It is unknown whether the CDs below are 'official' 3CG Records releases. If not, they're still fun to collect. :) This first version of Underneath has the regular 13 tracks, same as the US release. The cover art and CD art are different than regular releases; the art is similiar to several other Chinese Underneath albums, seen below.
	China #2 # HCD-0410 Very unusual/unique edition of Underneath from China. Rumor has it that this 'official' version was used to 'bootleg' other versions of Underneath (see China #2 of #2 below). Whatever the case may be, this CD is a definate rarity. Released by Universal and Top Music International, this version has the same 13 tracks as Middle of Nowhere, plus four tracks from Middle of Nowhere: Thinking of You, Look At You, With You In Your Dreams, Where's The Love. 	China #2 of #2 # HCD-756 / H1410(1) Same tracklisting as the above CD, but comes in different packaging with different cover art. Several Chinese Underneath albums (below) come in packaging similiar to this. (Thanks to Steph for this scan!)
	China #3 # HDCD-1410 / H1410(2) This version is actually a 2CD set. It has the same 13 tracks as the US release, plus the four bonus tracks from MON, PLUS a whole other CD of tracks from Snowed In! It is so cool :-P
	China #4 # HDCD-122 This version of Underneath has the original 13 tracks plus five very unique bonus tracks: I Will Come To You (MON vesion), You Never Know, Silent Night Medley, I Will Come To You (MON Version - again!), and MMMBop (3CG Version).
	Asia #2 # ? Very rare Asian release. Includes the original 13 tracks plus the three bonus tracks from the Japanese Underneath. 16 tracks total.
	Malaysia # 1501 This album was released in Malaysia and has six bonus tracks. Bonus Tracks: 14. If Only 15. Thinking of You 16. MMMBop 17. Weird 18. Speechless 19. Where's The Love
