Like River and 3 Car Garage, Gimme Some Lovin' was the unofficial single off of Live From Albertane, Hanson's fourth album, and first live album. Well, maybe I shouldn't say unofficial single - it was released commercially in a few countries. Well...Germany, really. That's the only country I know of that released a retail single. A few promos exist in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Gimme Some Lovin' had a lot riding on its shoulders - not only did it help promote Live From Albertane, but it also promoted Snowed In as well, since it was released in late 1998.

GSL Discussion:
GSL has undergone many interesting edits on various singles/promos. On the actual LFA album, the song is "Gimme Some Lovin'/Shake A Tail Feather" (5:07). Because the song is so long, one track was edited down to just "Gimme Some Lovin'" (2:48), a second was an edited version of "Gimme Some Lovin'/Shake A Tail Feather," (3:47) and a third was an edited version of "Shake A Tail Feather/Gimme Some Lovin'" (3:47). It's pretty fun to hear, especially when you are expecting to hear the full LFA version. :)
