This CD has a confusing history. Listings for a Japanese CD titled "MMMBest" appeared on web sites before Underneath's release, but
the CD was apparently pulled from most online CD stores with a note that it was not being produced. Whether any copies actually were
pressed, I do not know. Some Japanese web sites still have the CD listed...
A track listing surfaced at some point, but I don't remember what it is - all I remember is that the bonus track is the 12" remix of Where's The Love (a unique track released only on the Japanese WTL single).
No other information known...
MMMBop: The Collection - Europe
Unique 17 track CD released in Europe in late 2005 by Spectrum Music, a division of Universal. The CD has what you would expect: Hanson's biggest hit singles from MMMBop to If Only. But there are some suprises, like Cried (or Cry, as it is called in Europe), Smile and the If Only JFP Club Mix.
MMMBop: The Collection - Taiwan
Taiwanese version of MMMBop: The Collection, comes with an OBI strip that has a blurb about Hanson & the album on the back.
20th Century Masters: The Best of Hanson - US
Unique compilation released by Mercury/Universal Records in 2006. This CD has several rare radio edits and remixes of Hanson's hit singles - several tracks on this CD were never commercially released in the United States.
Extremely rare 3" promo CD from Thailand. This CD was given out as a 'special gift' when Hanson were there to promote Middle of Nowhere in 1997. Interestingly, the cover art is from Snowed In, but none of the tracks are from Snowed In. (I don't think SI was even released yet, so this may be the first 'SI' pics/art to surface.)
The track listing is extremely unique - an MMMBop remix, a WTL remix, and Man From Milwaukee. The CD is bright pink with what looks like a snowflake in the center.
Tracks:
1. MMMBop (Dust Brothers Mix)
2. Man from Milwaukee (Garage Mix)
3. Where's The Love (Tommy D. Londinium Dub)
Ugly Hanson - Australia Promo
As the front cover says, this unique promo release was available exclusively from Ugly Phil's Hot 30 Countdown.
There are three tracks, one of which is a Hanson interview.
Tracks:
1. Gimme Some Lovin'/Shake A Tail Feather
2. MMMBop (Live)
3. Interview
Macy's/Seventeen Guitar-Shaped CD - US Promo
To my knowledge, this is the only Hanson CD in existence that is not shaped like a traditional, round CD. This CD is actually shaped like an acoustic guitar, and it was given out
to those who attended Seventeen/Macy's promotional show at the Springfield Mall in Springfield, VA on September 5, 2000. It is unknown how many of these CDs were pressed for the event.
This CD came attached to a Seventeen/Macy's lanyard. A green Hanson wristband was also given out at the event (not pictured).
Note: It's hard to verify how "legit" the following CDs are. My guess is that the majority of them are bootlegs, based on the
random track listings alone...
Best Singles - Russia
The first of several Hanson compilation CDs released overseas. This CD was released with two different covers (only one pictured). The track listing is the same for each CD: 19 tracks from Middle of Nowhere and 3
Car Garage. The "bonus track" is Merry Christmas Baby from Snowed In.
Millennium Hitz - Germany
Rare 20 track compilation from Germany. The CD has unique cover art from 1997/1998, and has one of the most coveted Hanson songs amongst its unique tracklisting: Never Let Go.
You heard right! Track 17 is the demo version of Never Let Go. The CD also has tracks from Middle of Nowhere, This Time Around (including remixes of If Only), and interview clips.
Hanson - ?
Unique 20 track compilation released by Music World, origin unknown. The tracks are taken from Middle of Nowhere, Snowed In, and This Time Around.
The Best Of Hanson - Taiwan
This 19 track CD was released in Taiwan in 2000. It includes every track from the This Time Around album (13) plus 6
tracks from Middle of Nowhere.
Best 2000 - Poland
Very rare Poland/Polska CD titled "Hanson: Best 2000." The CD has 15 tracks, 11 of which make up the entire 3 Car Garage album. The
back cover has two typos: Track 2, Day Has Come, is really track 5; track 5, listed as If Only (LP Version), is really
track 2. For track 3, "Live" in "Live From Albertane" is misspelled "Lve."
The front and back covers are beautiful - bright and very colorful! Collages of pictures are on the inside cover and
behind the CD. The CD is a really nice picture disc as well.
20th Century Masters: The Best of Hanson - China
Chinese edition fo the 20th Century Masters release. Similiar front cover art, but very different back cover art + CD art, and a number of bonus tracks.
Bonus Tracks:
1. Believe
2. Broken Angel
3. Dream Girl
4. Optimistic
5. I Will Come To You
6. Penny & Me
